The Geography & History Early Childhood Manual provides guided presentations and a flow chart for introducing the Montessori geography and history curriculum to children ages three to six. Presentations can be sequential or concurrent to one another.  This Manual includes activities in land/water/air, mapping, cardinal points, land and water globes, physical geography, political geography, weather exercises, and introduction to history (calendar, clock.) Geography is the study of the Earth on which humans live and history is the study of humans who live on this Earth. The two, therefore, are partners through time and place. It would not be possible for a child to fully understand or learn about geography without history.
