About the Manual
The Mathematics Teaching Manual Volume 4 begins with multiplication with the Binomial and Monomial equations and passes into the square of the Binomial and Trinomial using the Bead Cabinet. The Algebraic Peg Board is used to show how to build the square of a number in preparation for Square Root of Binomials, Trinomials, and Quadrinomials.
The Checker Board is used as preparation for abstract long multiplication using the hierarchical material. Cross multiplication follows as another method for showing long multiplication.
